Women emPower is ProventusHR's multi-month gender intelligence mastery journey, designed around a rigorous understanding of why generic leadership development does not work for women in the same way it works for their male peers. The leaking pipeline, the attrition inflection at mid-management, and the values mismatch that research consistently identifies as the primary driver of aspirational deficit among women leaders - all require a programme that addresses these specific structural and psychological dynamics, not one that delivers standard leadership content to a female audience.
Duration
20 to 32 Weeks
Primary Audience
Women Leaders at Director, VP, and CXO Levels
Delivery
Multi-module journey, in-person masterclasses, LEAD coaching, peer cohort
Women emPower addresses the specific structural and psychological dynamics of women in senior leadership through six targeted capability modules, each grounded in a distinct leadership mindset: Protagonist (building the self as the foundation for selfless leadership), Nurturer (leveraging empathetic and transformational strengths), Maverick (cultivating a change-oriented and innovation-driven mindset), Campaigner (building networks of advocates, mentors, and sponsors), Guardian (instilling values-based and sustainable leadership), and Empowering (developing resilience in VUCA environments).
The programme is delivered over a 20 to 32 week journey. Each module has four components: pre-work, a full-day masterclass, a group connect session, and individual or small-group LEAD coaching. It includes the Shield Bearers gamification system to sustain engagement across the journey, REEL|Life cinematic reflection, simulation-based learning, and a Final Project Presentation and Graduation event.
Each module is a full-day masterclass supported by pre-work, a group connect session, and LEAD coaching. The six mindsets are cumulative: each builds on and reinforces the one before it.
01
PROTAGONIST
Strong Self is the Basis for Selfless Leadership
Establishes a powerful sense of self and intrinsic worth as the foundation for effective, authentic leadership. Participants develop clarity on personal values, leadership identity, and the specific self-limiting beliefs that constrain their ambition and presence. The module addresses the aspiration deficit at its root: the internalised narrative that does not yet match the capability.
02
NURTURER
Empathetic Leadership as Strategic Strength
Develops empathetic, inclusive, and collaborative leadership strengths as strategic assets, not soft skills. Participants learn to leverage their natural leadership qualities, build high-trust team relationships, and use transformational leadership approaches to inspire and develop their people.
03
MAVERICK
Change-Oriented Mindset for Innovation and Transformation
Cultivates a change-oriented, experimentation-driven mindset for leading innovation. Participants build the resilience to maintain direction through resistance and uncertainty, and develop the operating philosophy that treats setback as data rather than confirmation of limitation.
04
CAMPAIGNER
Network of Advocates, Mentors, and Sponsors
Empowers women to build intentional networks of advocates, mentors, and sponsors. Develops self-advocacy capability, strategic relationship-building skills, and the confidence to seek and create career advancement opportunities deliberately rather than waiting to be recognised.
05
GUARDIAN
Values-Based and Sustainable Leadership
Instils sustainable, values-aligned leadership that does not require participants to compromise who they are in order to be effective. Addresses the values mismatch that research consistently identifies as the primary driver of attrition among high-performing women at the career inflection point.
06
EMPOWERING
Resilience and Leadership in VUCA Environments
Develops antifragile, resilient leadership for high-complexity, high-ambiguity environments. Addresses the specific pressures of VUCA contexts on women leaders and builds the operating discipline to grow stronger through challenge rather than merely endure it.
Each of the six modules follows the same four-part architecture. This consistency makes the journey predictable, sustainable, and progressively deeper as participants move through the programme.
Pre-Work
15 to 20 minutes
Articles, TED Talks, videos, and self-inventories that prime each participant's thinking before the masterclass. Structured to surface live challenges the masterclass will address.
Masterclass
1 Full Day
In-person experiential session delivering the module's core capability. Every masterclass is experiential before it is conceptual, and closes with a named action plan.
Group Connect
1 Hour
A facilitated peer reflection session in which the cohort shares progress, challenges, and insights from the module. Builds the peer accountability architecture that sustains the journey.
LEAD Coaching
30 to 90 Minutes
Individual or small-group coaching connecting the masterclass insights to each participant's specific leadership context, challenges, and development goals.
The leaking pipeline: women represented widely at entry level but progressively absent at mid-management and senior levels
The values mismatch that drives attrition at the career inflection point: the gap between who a woman is and what the organisation requires her to become
An aspirational deficit produced not by lack of ambition but by a leadership culture that makes aspiration costly for women in ways it does not for men
Generic leadership programmes that treat women as a demographic variation on a universal model rather than designing for their specific structural and psychological context
The absence of a multi-month journey that builds capability cumulatively, sustains engagement across modules, and measures impact at the individual and organisational level
Protagonist module: participants articulate a clear leadership identity statement and use it in at least one professional context within 30 days
Maverick module: at least one specific change action is visible in the participant's role within 30 days of the module
Campaigner module: at least one intentional networking or advocacy action taken within 30 days, with a named sponsor or advocate identified
At 90 days: programme participants are more likely to be nominated for stretch assignments, promotion, or high-visibility projects
Named outcomes from the programme design document. Impact tracked at module level, at programme close, and at 90 days post-graduation. Kirkpatrick Level 3 measurement is standard on every engagement.
Leadership Identity Clarity: Participants leave with a named, examined, and owned leadership identity that is not contingent on external validation. The Protagonist module produces this as a written statement, practised, and anchored in specific leadership situations.
Intentional Sponsorship Architecture: Each participant leaves with at least one named potential sponsor and a specific advocacy ask. The Campaigner module converts this from aspiration to action with a written sponsorship strategy.
Retention Impact: Women emPower participants demonstrate measurably higher engagement and lower attrition than non-participants in the programme's sponsoring organisation at the 90-day mark.
Final Project Graduation: The programme closes with a Final Project Presentation in which each participant demonstrates measurable, context-specific leadership impact attributable directly to the Women emPower journey.

Explore DEIB Practice ›Women emPower is ProventusHR's multi-month gender intelligence mastery journey for women leaders. It is built around six targeted capability modules, each grounded in a distinct leadership mindset, and addresses the structural and psychological dynamics of women in senior leadership that generic programmes do not.

Shield Bearers is a gamification system embedded across the journey to sustain engagement and peer accountability between modules. Participants earn shields for completing pre-work, contributing to group connects, and demonstrating visible leadership behaviour changes. It keeps the programme active between masterclasses.
Women at Director, VP, and CXO levels who are navigating enterprise leadership challenges and need a programme designed for the specific dynamics of women in senior leadership, not a gender-neutral leadership programme delivered to a female audience.
